I Love December (continued)!

A couple days after the wonderful parade event Logan and I got to fly to Columbus, Ohio to visit the Ford's (my big sister and her family). Mike was supposed to come too but he had to stay and work at the last minute. We missed him but we had a blast in Columbus.

On Saturday we went to Wild Lights at the Columbus Zoo. It was cold and crowded but we had so much fun walking around and looking at the millions of lights and some of the zoo animals inbetween. Here is a picture of the Fords.

Here is Logan and me. He doesn't look too happy here but he was a very good sport and by the end fell asleep all bundled up in the stroller.

And of course I had to get a sisters picture. It was so nice to be with Stephanie for a couple of days. I really look up to her. She is so kind, creative, and one of the funnest people I know.

Look at those cousins. Aren't they cute? Creed loved crawling over to Logan and Logan didn't even mind being mauled by a huge baby. They just smiled and smiled at eachother the whole trip.

Isn't this Santa Claus great? I just wish Logan would have been awake so I could take better pictures.

So unfortunately I am a terrible photographer and even worse at remembering to take pictures when doing something fun so to see more pictures of the trip you will have to go to my sister's blog (click on Steph and Larry in the right hand column). Stephanie is a religious blogger and her blog is lots of fun to read even if you don't know her. She posts fun ideas and projects all the time.

I should have taken pictures of the awesome christmas sugar cookies we made and decorated. They were delicious and the recipe made a million so we were going to give some away but we pretty much ended up eating all of them ourselves. Cookies for breakfast, yum! We also made a gingerbread house out of sugar cookie dough. We did some shopping, read christmas stories, visited old friends, saw christmas lights, went to the scholastic book fair, drank yummy hot chocolate, and painted fairy doors (again, revert back to Steph's blog to learn about fairy doors). I know I am leaving out something but I have a crying baby. The point is, we had a blast and we wish we could live closer to family and friends. Thank you Ford family.

I Love December!

I have been having so much fun, I haven't had time to post. Here are some of the things that we have been up to.

Logan loves December too. He is getting so big. He is three months old and he can roll over and grab toys now.

One Sunday afternoon Brenda Heaton, one of my oldest friends stopped by for a visit. We have known eachother since first grade. Brenda lives in Boston where she is completing her PHD in epidemiology so we don't get to see eachother often. We had a good time reminiscing and catching up.

Brenda gives great haircuts so we roped her into giving Mike one. His hair was getting so long and he hasn't had time to get to the salon.

This is his "after" picture. Doesn't he look hansome? Brenda you did a great job, thank you.

The next day, Rockwood (the tiny town we live on the boarder of) was having a Christmas parade. It was super cold but we couldn't miss it.

Here is Logan's reaction to the funny little floats. The parade mostly consisted of church groups, schools, and local businesses that walked or drove down mainstreet in their decorated trucks. There was even a short bus from a nursing home full of old people. Everyone was throwing candy and the kids around us collected bags full. It was better than Halloween.

This isn't the best picture but here is one of our favorite floats. That is Jesus on top if you can't tell. The Side read, "Are You Ready?" Don't you love the hour glass?

Then Logan got a little bit sad because he was cold so we left. We probably stayed for twenty minutes or so. It was a doosie but we had a great time.
