What to Do?

This is the blanket that my mom helped me make. It may seem simple but it was more complicated to make than I realized it would be. The backside of this blanket is the best part, it is super soft.

Stephanie helped me find a solid red bumper pad and dust ruffle that would match perfectly for the crib bedding. I have been looking for bedding for months. I just wanted something without the usual cheesy baby boy designs. You know what I'm talking about people: trains and cars, zoo or farm animals, or sports equipment are one's only options. I know this blanket is a little crazy but I have to say it totally suits me. The only problem is finding other baby stuff to match, a mobile, rug, etc.

So here is where the question comes in...

Do I use that as my crib bedding or do I just use this bedding that I found on clearance at target? It has all kinds of stuff to match but it isn't as cute or original. I know it isn't a huge dilema or anything but I want your opinion. If you want to get a better look at this one you can probably find it at target.com. Well, I gotta run Mike is going to finish his thesis right now and he needs the computer.

Here are some more pictures in random order.

This is Mike bonding with our nephew Alec in Chicago. I couldn't get Alec to hold still long enough to get a picture of his face. Our camera is so slow.

Mike and I went on a little hike to some nearby falls (here in TN). Mike always takes pictures while I am not looking so don't think I am trying to be all pocahontis-ie. This was the only picture we took that you could really see the water fall. Isn't it pretty?

This is a picture of baby Garner at the baby shower. You can kinda see some of the cute decorations here.

Here is Mike and our nephew Caden playing around with man-toys in Mike's parent's new back yard.

Sorry, It Has Been a LONG TIME!!

So much has happened since my last post:

I Turned 25, yikes!

Steph, Larry, and Creed came and stayed with us.

We visited the Spencers (Mike's sister Mandy and family) in Chicago.

We flew home to Utah one last time before the baby is due.

In Utah family and friends gathered for a babyshower for me.

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to.

When you come to Tennessee its all about the old fashion fun. Here is Mike, Larry and Stephanie having a watermelon seed spitting contest off the back porch. Unfortunatley Bob was innocently wandering around the yard and he became a target. We had a blast with the Fords. We went up to knoxville and wandered around on Saturday, we played games, and Larry even taught us the Sunday school lesson in our branch on Sunday.

Here we are at the fourth of July Parade in Provo. It is a great tradition and we always have lots of fun even though you wouldn't guess it by the faces Grant and Cole are making.

This is a picture of my mother and me and at the babyshower. I wish that I would have gotten pictures of how cute the decorations are. Go to Candice's blog to see them: candicestringham.typepad.com. My Mom and Candice did a fantastic job decorating and they made super cute cupcakes too. Laurel must have put a lot of work into the games. I think everyone had a good time playing. Lisa sent out the invitations and a number of people contributed to the tasty food. Thank you everyone. It meant a lot to me.
