What to Do?

This is the blanket that my mom helped me make. It may seem simple but it was more complicated to make than I realized it would be. The backside of this blanket is the best part, it is super soft.

Stephanie helped me find a solid red bumper pad and dust ruffle that would match perfectly for the crib bedding. I have been looking for bedding for months. I just wanted something without the usual cheesy baby boy designs. You know what I'm talking about people: trains and cars, zoo or farm animals, or sports equipment are one's only options. I know this blanket is a little crazy but I have to say it totally suits me. The only problem is finding other baby stuff to match, a mobile, rug, etc.

So here is where the question comes in...

Do I use that as my crib bedding or do I just use this bedding that I found on clearance at target? It has all kinds of stuff to match but it isn't as cute or original. I know it isn't a huge dilema or anything but I want your opinion. If you want to get a better look at this one you can probably find it at target.com. Well, I gotta run Mike is going to finish his thesis right now and he needs the computer.

Here are some more pictures in random order.

This is Mike bonding with our nephew Alec in Chicago. I couldn't get Alec to hold still long enough to get a picture of his face. Our camera is so slow.

Mike and I went on a little hike to some nearby falls (here in TN). Mike always takes pictures while I am not looking so don't think I am trying to be all pocahontis-ie. This was the only picture we took that you could really see the water fall. Isn't it pretty?

This is a picture of baby Garner at the baby shower. You can kinda see some of the cute decorations here.

Here is Mike and our nephew Caden playing around with man-toys in Mike's parent's new back yard.

Sorry, It Has Been a LONG TIME!!

So much has happened since my last post:

I Turned 25, yikes!

Steph, Larry, and Creed came and stayed with us.

We visited the Spencers (Mike's sister Mandy and family) in Chicago.

We flew home to Utah one last time before the baby is due.

In Utah family and friends gathered for a babyshower for me.

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to.

When you come to Tennessee its all about the old fashion fun. Here is Mike, Larry and Stephanie having a watermelon seed spitting contest off the back porch. Unfortunatley Bob was innocently wandering around the yard and he became a target. We had a blast with the Fords. We went up to knoxville and wandered around on Saturday, we played games, and Larry even taught us the Sunday school lesson in our branch on Sunday.

Here we are at the fourth of July Parade in Provo. It is a great tradition and we always have lots of fun even though you wouldn't guess it by the faces Grant and Cole are making.

This is a picture of my mother and me and at the babyshower. I wish that I would have gotten pictures of how cute the decorations are. Go to Candice's blog to see them: candicestringham.typepad.com. My Mom and Candice did a fantastic job decorating and they made super cute cupcakes too. Laurel must have put a lot of work into the games. I think everyone had a good time playing. Lisa sent out the invitations and a number of people contributed to the tasty food. Thank you everyone. It meant a lot to me.

Grant and Cole Time

We had a blast this week doing all kinds of stuff. Grant is six years old and Cole is almost four years old. They are in such a fun stage of life. They are up everyday atleast by seven o'clock which took some adjusting to for me. I usually get to sleep in. We started out everyday with breakfast and cartoons. On their first day I showed them around the yard and we played. We played with Bob, the hammock, sidewalk chalk, and we watered the garden. The boys really liked the hose this trip. Then we went to the park. It is right on the Lake so eventually after swinging on the swings awhile we had to go put our feet in the water. There were some people swimming and the boys decided they wanted to go swimming too. So, the boys took off their shirts and jumped in. Cole went from the water to the sand box a number of times. He would get sand stuck all over and then get in the water. They boys were having so much fun that I didn't want to make them leave. Unfortunately he burns really easily and I had only put sun screen in the places were his clothes weren't before we left. They were mad but we headed home before cole got burnt. After relaxing a little and putting on dry clothes we headed to the store. The boys picked out food they liked and they were being really good so we bought toy cars and squirt guns to play with when they got home.
The boys always looked forward to Uncle Mike getting home from work. We tried to do something fun with all of us after dinner and before they had to go to bed every night. One night we made a fire in the back yard and roasted marshmallows. Mike was always teaching the boys something scientific or scout-ie. He is going to be a great dad.
Really what didn't we do this week? We played games like go fish, hide and seek, and sorry, colored, made a fort, found a turtle, went to the library, went swimming at our neighbors pool, read storybooks, played on the computer, found buried treasure, went to the park, ate popsicles, I swear I could go on forever.
I have to admit that I was proud of myself for the meals and activities I planned. The boys seemed to have a great week. I was exhausted but it was worth it. It was a small glimpse into my future days of motherhood. I hope my boys are as well behaved as Grant and Cole.
Mike, Bob and I really miss having the boys around.

This is Grant in the hammock out front.

Here is the turtle we found. I think cole is trying to decide if he trusts him. He looked kind of mean and he wasn't even slightly afraid of us.

Here is Grant in the Lake.

Here is a our awesome fort. It was set up around the tv and had pillows and blankets inside. But you have to know the password to get inside.

I will post more pictures tomorrow.

Sorry the pictures didn't show up on my last post. That is so sad...well, here they are again.

Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee are the Places to be!

For Memorial day weekend Mike and I drove up to Columbus, Ohio for Creed Ford's baby blessing. Mom and Dad came too so it was a big party. On Saturday morning Mike and I got to go to a session at the Columbus temple. Stephanie is so lucky to live so close to the temple. It was the first time that I have been to a "mini" temple for a session. It always feels so good to go to the temple.
Later that day, we went downtown with the Fords for lunch. They took us to this cool warehouse that is full of booths with different types of food from around the world. Mike and I had Indian food and the Fords went with vietnamese food. It was hard to chose what to eat because everything looked so good. It was heaven for a hungry pregnant lady. Shortly there after mom and dad's flight arrived and before we knew it, it was time to eat again. So, we headed over to the Rice's house for a BBQ. The Sharpe family was there too. It was good to see them. They were such good friends to me when I lived there five years ago. Bochi Ball (I have no idea how it is spelled) was the highlight of the evening for the men. You play by seeing how close you can get your ball to the target from across the yard. I think everyone had a great time.
In the morning was Creed's baby blessing and Larry did a great job. Afterwards we just relaxed and visited the rest of the day. Here we are playing Uno Attack late that night. We took a picture trying to copy the one on the game box. If you have the game you'll have to get the box out and compare. How did we do? It was really late and we were laughing so hard. We also played Sequence but Stephanie and I couldn't get our act together and we lost everytime! Those stinky boys must have been cheating (j/k).

Here is a not so attractive picture of Mike and I when we woke up one morning. I wanted to take a picture of us in our new pj bottoms. Stephanie has a tradition of buying her guests cute pj bottoms when they come visit from out of state. It is a fun tradition. We took the picture with the timer because no one else was up yet.

Sadly Monday we had to head home but not before we stopped inLouisville, Kentucky to visit the Stringhams. They took us to a wacky cafe were we took this picture. Mike is holding up Grant with his left leg. It was funny but I guess you had to be there.

Since Candice and Mark had so much to do with getting ready to move, we took the boys home with us. We were so excited to have the boys stay with us. We did all kinds of fun things. Here is Grant and some our driveway art. They boys loved having a huge yard to play in. I think their favorite part of the trip was playing with Bob. They loved chasing him around, taking him on "walks", and sleeping with him at night.

Here is Cole resting on one of his walks with Bob.

I am excited to post a million pictures of all the things we did but you will have to wait until later today or tomorrow because I gotta go.

The New Moon

On Monday night we had our firsts guests here in Tennessee. The Moons were on their way to Alabama for a summer internship. Brandon is a law student in Williamsburg at William and Mary. It was so great to meet the newest Moon, Atticus. He is three months old and so cute. Mike barbequed us some yummy hamburgers and we visited until late. In the morning we had breakfast, read atticus books, and stopped by the park in Kingston before the Moons had to be on their way (sadly, Mike had to be at work early that morning). It was so fun having them stay with us for the night. Hopefully we will get to meet up with them more this summer.

Here they are in front of the Lake.

It was just like old times. Here we are together. I am wearing Elizabeth's sunglasses. Aren't they cute?

We Gave Bob a Bath!

Bob jumped in the lake again when I brought him on a walk this week. He is so hard to keep clean now that he has a yard to play in. He loves to dig in the red dirt. He was getting stinky so we gave him one serious scrub. This is him after we dried him off. He gets "fraggle rock" hair on top of his head. I love it.

Here he is again.

My Garden Rocks

Stephanie gave me the idea to stamp rocks to label my garden. She introduced to me the best stamps by Martha Stewart (it was on her blog, simplyradiant@blogspot.com). The only problem was finding rocks smooth enough to stamp on. I spotted these rocks on one of my walks around the lake and Mike came back with me to collect a few in a backpack.

Here are two pictures of our garden. We planted corn, carrots, peas, beans, tomoatoes, cucumber, pumpkin, squash, and watermelon. It is hard to keep up with the weeding but we can't wait for our garden to grow and give us yummy vegetables.

We had a nice weekend. We ate out at a mexican restaurant. We actually saw real live mexicans there too which is rare around these parts. Then we went to the store and bought a blender to make smoothies (our last one broke). Mike makes the best smoothies! Come over and we'll make you one, well Mike will anyway. While we were at the store we saw an ice cream maker and we had to buy that too. So today we made oreo ice cream, yum! Isn't homemade ice cream the best? Besides eating we watched an Alfred Hitchcock film, The Rear Window. Mostly I just hung around while Mike worked on more thesis revisions. It is almost done. I can't wait until he is done because then I don't have to worry about hogging his free time. Weekends are great because I get to be around Mike all day. Anyway....that's all for now.

My Mother

My mother is so wonderful! I desire so much to be more like her. I wish that I would have tried to learn more of her skills while I was close by. Its not just her talent of sewing, quilting, basket weaving, book binding, decorating, gardening, singing, piano playing, baking, or her business intellect that make her the best. My mom sacrificed the little things for us kids. She played with us and read to us. She thought of fun crafts to make and encouraged creativity. She baked cookies for us. She came to all of my games and performances. She sewed us tutus. She taught us to sing around the piano. She made us do chores and learn to work. She taught us to seek knowledge and to get an education. She even forgave me when I hit Dad's truck with the family van. She was friends with us and our friends. She made the family our very own academy awards for family home evening. She is so great and I love her!

President Howard W. Hunter said:
"Mothers are given the sacred privilege to 'bear the souls of men; for herein is the work of [the] Father continued, that he may be glorified.
"The First Presidency had said: 'Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest service to be assumed by mankind.'

Thank you Mom!
Our Weekend

We had a nice weekend. On Friday we went to a local pizza place to eat dinner but we din't stay because it was too smokey. We ordered to go. What's with the south and smoking? Everyone smokes yuck! I miss the no smoking restraunts in the west, but anyway. . . The pizza was good. We took it to the park. After we went bowling. Yes, we actually have a bowling alley here. It was fun.

On Saturday we drove up to Knoxville to register for baby stuff. Mike would rather have been doing anything else but we needed to get it done. That night we went to the drive-in movies. We saw spiderman 3. We had our blankets, pillows, treats, and a great spot. What is it about the drive-in that is so great? The only sad part was that we had to go home before the second show. It was late and we had to finish writing our talks for church today.

I will report that our talks went well, I think. My topic was on mothers of course and Mike's was on how family life helps us understand our Heavenly Father. He did a good job. We were also set apart today for our callings as second councellors in the young men's and young women's programs.

Family Home Evening at the Park

This week for Family Home Evening we went to a park in Kingston. It was really hot but we still enjoyed a little picnic and short walk along the Lake. Here is a picture of Mike and Bob.

This is a lovely picture Mike took of me. I am really looking pregnant these days.

This is Bob's first encounter with water outdoors. He really liked it. He actually got in further and swam a tiny bit. He also drank a lot of water which I hope doesn't make him too sick. He is a fun dog to have around. His personality is one of a kind and he keeps us entertained.

Mike took this picture of me in our hammock. This is our front yard and the blob under me is Bob.

There's No Place Like Home

I don't know if its the familiar smells of the seasons, running into someone you know wherever you go, or just the comfortable feeling of being with family and close friends, that makes Utah one of my favorite places to be. I miss being around lots of members of the church, fun restraunts, and neat places to go shopping. It always just feels so go to be home in Utah even for a short time.

The trip was planned so that Mike could defend his master's thesis. He has been waiting a long time for the opportunity. He worked so hard preparing for his presentation that he didn't sleep the night before. Infact, he bearly got any sleep the week before. He did a great job on his power point presentation although a good majority of the information was over my head. Mom and dad, Elsie (my mother-in-law), and I were there to support him. The presentation lasted over thirty minutes and then we had to leave while Mike answered more questions. Then he came out while the board discussed more. It is a little bit of a lengthy process but the results were great: Mike passed! He has to make a few changes to his paper but that was expected. In two weeks he will officially be done.

That was nice to have done and out of the way at the beginning of the trip because we always have so much we want to do while we are there. Here are some of the things we did:

1. We ate at Costa Azul and Rumbi's grill. Those are two places that I crave all the time.

2. I went to Mike's cousin Afton's bridal shower.

3. Mike went shooting with his dad, Kade our brother-in-law, and some of his friends.

4. We went to a BYU men's volleyball game. They are fantastic by the way.

5. Crocheted with Elsie a little.

6. I visited Brenda Heaton one of my oldest friends. And while I was there she cut my hair.

7. I got to chill with Kelli Radmall my best friend.

8. Laurel and Jason Richardson visited me with there new baby Isabel. She is so much fun. They are great friends.

9. We attended Sacrament meeting in the great pv 8th ward. To Mike's absolute delight there was a district of russian missionaries visiting the ward. He got to converse with them and even found one of the elders was good friends with one of his old companions. He is excited that he found a way to contact him again.

10. I had lunch with some of my mother's siblings and their families. It was nice to catch up with everyone. Sadly Mike couldn't be there because he had to fly back to work in Tennessee.

11. Mom and I shopped around for cute fabrics to make a baby quilt. Cute boy stuff is so much harder to find. It took us all day to find something we liked. We also bought wool felt to make cute newborn shoes and we bought some fabric to make cute bibs. I had no idea one could buy iron on stuff to make oil cloth.

12. Mom and I went to Dave's Bernina and bought a pedal for the old sewing machine Mike has. Now I can be a sewer too.

13. Mom and I stopped by Costco to pick up somethings. It sounds so unexciting but I truly miss costco. They don't have them here.

14. Mom and I started on the projects that we bought all the supplies for. I love being busy and doing stuff with my hands. Not only was it a great opportunity to hangout with my mom but it gave me the chance to learn some new skills. Guys love a girl with skills.

The best part was just seeing everyone that I miss so much. I wish that I could have visited more friends and spent more time with family but luckily we will be back in June. I think it will be our last visit for awhile. I won't be able to fly for a few months after that. Being pregnant isn't that bad but it has some set backs.

Thank you to everyone that let us stay with you. We appreciate all the time you set aside to be with us. We miss you already.

Here is a picture of the baby quilt my Mom and I are in the process of making. It is kind of crazy but lets face it that's just my personality. Just wait and see, it will look good.

Isn't it Beautiful?

We were outside planning on where to put our garden and we almost froze to death with the cold wind blowing. So, naturally after we put our coats on we went back outside to fly our kite. This is Mike flying the kite on the side of our house. You can see Bob if you look for the white speck in the picture. He loves to run and play and get muddy in the yard.

Anxiety at Walmart

I decided that I am going to make better dinners for when Mike gets home from work. Anyone who knows me is probably aware that I am not the most experienced cook. For the most part I have just made simple dinners such as hamburger helper or pasta or stuff that is quick and easy. I was always too tired when I got home from work to make something more complicated. Now that I have all the free time in the world, I made a goal to be better.

Today I found some recipes online that look great. I made a grocery list of all the things
I will need for the next four nights or so and then I headed out to our beloved walmart super store. It took awhile to round up all the things that were on my list. Don't you just hate grocery shopping? Anyway, I jumped in the shortest line and it was my turn before I knew it. I had a pretty good sized load in my cart so the bill wasn't tiny. I went to pay with my usual debit/credit card and to my horror it wasn't in my wallet. A few months ago we cancelled our other card because someone stole the credit card number and racked up a bill in Arizona. Mike had taken the check book out of my purse and therefore, I had no way to pay. Have you ever been in this situation? I had no idea what to do. The cashier voided it out and set the cart aside while I ran to the car to see if by some miracle I left my card out there. Nope, no card there. I searched my wallet and purse again. . .no card. It was almost 5:30 and Mike gets off work at 6:00 so I called him but he didn't pick up the first few times I called. Ahhh! I waited a few minutes and Mike called back. By then I was bawling and I am sure Mike thought something terrible had happened (give me a break I am a super emotional pregnant lady). I explained to him what had happened between sobs and he said that he would leave work right then. He is my hero and he swooped in to the rescue as always. It was torture waiting for him to get there. I didn't know whether or not to put back or trade back all of the frozen or refrigerated stuff or if I should just leave it. Well, it all turned out fine and I did end up finding my debit card when I got home. The End.

Our Kitchen

Little by little I will post pictures of what the inside of the house looks like. Here is one angle of our kitchen. It is a big kitchen so I couldn't fit it all in but you get the idea.

Here is a picture of the other side of the kitchen.

On Tuesday April 10, we met our new doctor and found out the sex of our baby. WE ARE HAVING A BOY!! The doctor said that so far everything looks good and that he is right on track to be born around August 26. Hooray! We can't wait.
Our Easter Trip

Mike had the Friday before Easter off because of good friday. We had to take advantage of his time off so we drove up to Ohio to visit the Ford's. On the way we stopped in Louisville, Kentucky to stay the night and to pick up the Stringhams. We slept in Grant and Cole's bunkbed. They were really excited to see that we brought Bob the dog. They played with him the entire weekend. Cole's favorite activity was to climb in Bob's kennel with him. When Cole was supposed to be in bed he would sneak over to Bob's cage to pet him. The boys slept in the basement and Bob would sit by the door and cry for them.

My favorite part of the weekend was just being with everyone. Mike and I got to meet our nephew Creed for the first time. He was born March 22, 2007. He is so cute. We got to hold him, burp him, and change him. It made us even more excited for the day our baby comes.

While we were there we dyed easter eggs, played games, and went to the Duckling Day Parade. Every year on the Saturday before Easter, a local library holds the duckling day parade. All the kids dress up like ducks and follow the mother duck around the park to mimic the classic children's book, Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. This year it was extra cold so we mostly just watched from inside the library. It actually snowed while we were there. We watched a puppet show and the boys loved it. Then we went to our good friend's the Erneys house and had brunch. I nannied for the Erneys one summer about four years ago. They are great people.

One night Stephanie hid plastic eggs all around the yard. When the kids were asleep we got out our coats and flashlights for a midnight hunt for eggs. Everyone had his or her own color to search for and there was a golden egg with a gift certificate for the lucky finder. We had a blast.

Here is a picture of us with Creed. I know that Mike is going to be a great dad. Look how cute he looks holding baby Creed.

The Easter bunny was kind to us this year. Here is some of our loot. Last year mike decided to start a new and very random tradition of getting a fresh pineapple. I can't quite explain it. Also seen in this picture is little Cole. He loves Uncle mike.

We really did have a fun weekend. It was so hard to go home.

A Crib!

There is a store in Kingston that carries slightly damaged furniture for a reasonable price. The Relief Society President told me that occasionally you could find baby stuff there so I decided to stop by yesterday to look for a crib. They didn't have any that I could see so I asked an employee how often they get shipments in. When I told her it was a crib I was looking for she took me into the back of the store. There hadn't been any room for a crib on the floor so it was being used as a storage place for a billion electric blankets. After pulling all the blankets out to take a better look, I could see that it was just what I needed. It was a display bed at a store and seemed to be in great condition other than a few scratches in the white paint.

I spent a long time in the store. First I needed to get a hold of mike but unfortunately he was in a meeting that ended up lasting hours later. So I bought the crib by myself and plotted getting it home. I knew that I would have to take it apart to fit it into the 4runner. I needed a hex wrench key to take out the screws and they didn't have one at the store so I made due with a random tool and set out to work. It took awhile but I did it. Before I left I spotted a dresser that matched the crib pretty well and I decided to get it too. One of girls working there helped me carry everything out to the car and then I fin ally drove home.

I got the bed all put together before mike got home from work. Here are some pictures (sorry they are a little dark).

Fun in Harriman

Mike gets home from work early on Fridays, hooray! It was a beautiful evening and lets be honest there isn't too much going on in a small town so we played in our back yard. First we lined up small plastic cowboys and indians on our deck so we could shoot them down with our air guns. Our plastic guys started to get blown down by the breeze so we got Mike's kite out. Here he is (below) putting it together. The wind didn't last long so we headed into downtown Harriman to get somethng to eat. It was my first trip to the famous Cracker Barrel. The food was pretty good and our waitress was really nice. She thought it would be funny to get the whole restraunt to sing Happy Birthday to me. It was a funny surprise and the free dessert was welcome. That was our Friday night.

I Have Turned Over a New Leaf

I am going to be a better blogger! My mother has requested that I post regularly on my blog now that I moved so far from home. I have no excuses now because I have no job, a lot of free time, and a great internet connection. Plus, I think that it will inspire me to keep busy because I have to find things to write about.

Tennessee

We moved to Tennessee can you believe it? We live in a tiny town called Harriman. It is only about thirty minutes from Knoxville so we have everything we need and love at our fingertips: hospitals, stores (*target*), restuarants, and movie theaters. We do have a Walmart, Lowe's, and Kroger grocery store in town, which is nice. Harriman is surrounded by big rivers that the locals call lakes. The three main rivers are Emory, Clinch, and Tennessee. Fishing is a big hobby here and the weather is perfect for it right now. The hills and trees are beautiful and it is so green here. I love it.

We got really lucky and found a great house. Looking for a place to live was not fun. Everything was trashy, or too small, in a creepy area, or we were too late and the place was already rented. The place we found is in a great area with a big yard and lots of space. It is on eight acres, four of which have been plowed for butter beans. The house is older but the inside has been completely redone. It is like new on the inside. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Here is the house from the front...

Here are two pictures taken from our back porch...

Fun Things that I have done in the last few weeks:

1. Flew to kentucky.
2. Took care of my favorite nephewsfor a few days while my sister was out of town. Playing mom was really fun. We went to the park and played games.
3. Watched Gilmore Girls with my sister Candice. My sisters both watch it and now I am addicted too. Isn't that show so great? Candice and I went to the grocery store where I picked out way too much of my favorite junk food. We had to eat all that junk while we watched part of season two because that is what they do on their fabulous movie nights. How are they not super-duper fat? They are always eating on that show.
4. Stephanie came for a day and we had a suprise birthday party for her. Grant, Cole, and I made a big poster and decorated the ouse with balloons. Well, first we walked to the store to get the supplies but first we had to stop ofr ice cream. Mark bought a purse pinata, ice cream cake, and girlie party favors. We had a blast hitting the pinata. Everyone was blind folded with a sheet while someone held up the pinata on each end of the ribbon rope. There was candy and whistles inside so we had to simultaneously blow our whistles as loud as we could for a few minutes.
5. Larry loves cemetaries so we made sure that we made a visit to the famous Louisville cemetary. The lady that wrote happy birthday is buried there along with col. sanders the founder of KFC. Of course we had to get a picture in front of his grave which I will be sure to post soon.
6. Candice took my picture for a new article she is writing for work. We walked along bardstown street and looked at the cool boutiques while we found neat places to take pictures.
7. Candice and I went to The Devil Wears Prada. We ended up having the entire theater to ourselves. It was a Monday night so no one else was there. We were as loud as we wanted to be.
8. I went to My Fair Lady while in Louisville. Mark, my brother in law, did a fantastic job. I really enjoyed the actors' theater version.
9. Steph and I watched Parent Trap II. It brought back good memories. Man that is one quality film!
10. Candice and I found our favorite songs on Itunes and burned cds.
11. We also found a super cool salvage yard near downtown. It was enourmous. There were three yards and four large houses worth of old stuff. We could have stayed and looked around forever. I wish that I could have brought home everything.
12. When I flew into Las Vegas Mike was there waiting for me. I really missed him. We just had our eight month anniversary. I can't believe it. It has gone by so fast. Mike brought me daisies and I came home to some thoughtful gifts. He is a good husband. I love you Mike.
13. I missed a lot of work and it was a nice break. I came back for two days and now it is a long weekend. I love holidays!!
14. Here I am in Utah now. Mom and I went to a store and saw super cute halloween pillows. They were rather expensive so we decided that we could make them ourselves. We then went to the fabric store and bought the supplies to make 'em.
15. Tonight was the last night of the storytelling festival so we got tickets to go. It was at the outdoor theater of Orem's Scera Shell. Kelli and Kirt were there with his family and mom, dad, and I sat by them. Grandma and Madison Borup also came. It was packed but very entertaining.

Mike

Mike finished the first draft on his thesis!!! Hip-hip-hooray! Now I will have more time to get on the computer. I promise that I will be a better blogger.

This is a picture of mike bbq-ing in front of our apartments. We keep the bbq on our deck but we aren't allowed to use it there. Therefore, everytime we want to use it we have to carry it down the stairs and cook out front. Mike and I got the bbq as a wedding gift from the guys at mike's old work. It was supper nice of them.

Sunday School

This weekend I taught a lesson on the law of chastity (2 samuel 11-12) to my 14-16 year olds. They were really good. I gave them some hershey's hugs and told them to just keep it to little hugs instead of getting in trouble with the opposite sex. They thought that it was funny. Mike is going to scout camp this coming weekend with the boys. We enjoy working with the youth in our ward.
